Frequently Asked Questions

What is the schedule of the classes?

   Please see the course schedule.

My child cannot type yet, can he/she take your class?

Absolutely. There are many tools and apps specially designed for young kids to learn programming, which do not require typing at all.  Kids will be using drag-and-drop coding interfaces to program and view the source code (or pseudo source code ) on a side window.

There are compute science courses offered in middle schools and elementary schools, what is the difference between your course and those courses offered at public schools?

Our year round course provides an in-depth coverage to a variety of topics including Javascript, Java, Python, C/C++, HTML/CCS, SQL, Algorithms, Data Structures, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Contest Programming, Game Design, Mobile Apps development on IOS and Android and so on. Many of these topics are not covered in the curriculum of public K12 schools. Students in our classes will have the opportunities to do interesting projects and gain hands-on experience. Project-based learning allows students to drive their own learning, and teaches them skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration. It also provides students with an opportunity to create authentic projects which are meaningful to them.

Can young kids learn programming well?

Definitely. On the most basic level, programming is how we communicate with computers, and what we use to build and run websites, apps, video games, and more. Learning to program is like learning how to speak and write in a particular language, and kids are great at learning languages!
